Future Perfect

Commentary and news section of the Golf In The Year 2000 web site, which includes the book of that title.

Tracking news about the site and book and commenting on speculative fiction, Victorian-era literature, technology, futurism, life extension, extropianism and ... maybe ... golf.

Wasn't the future wonderful?

Another Reason to Celebrate this Year

I've proposed celebrating a new holiday this year: Alexander J. Gibson Day(s), Gibson being the main character in Golf in the Year 2000. This is an appropriate year in which to begin a new golf-related holiday tradition, as it is the 250th anniversary of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland, widely acknowledged to be the historical home of the game. The British Golf Museum in St. Andrews has been celebrating since its reopening last year.
