Golf in the Year 2100 (You Read That Right)

There's a sequel (of sorts) to Golf in the Year 2000. It's called, natch, Golf in the Year 2100 and is the story of a man from our time who wakes up from a 100-year coma to discover how much further golf technology has been taken than either the vision of McCullough's classic or the reality of our present day. One notable advancement: players can change the weather on a course from one hole to the next. Feel like playing in a snowstorm? Or desert-like heat? It's up to you. Author Bob Labbance is editor of Turf Magazine and editor at large for the New England Journal of Golf, as well as author of several non-fiction books on golf. Reviewers praise Golf in the Year 2100 for capturing the humor and imaginativeness of its predecessor while adding twists all its own. I'm looking forward to reading it, and when I do, I'll post a review to this blog.
