Whatever Happened to DayGlo Dinosaurs?

Seems that Guantanamo Bay Naval Base is the hot spot, in more ways than one. Gitmo has had a McDonald's, the only one in Cuba, for some while now, but with the influx of military personnel, contractors, and so on working to transform the base into America's premier--and evidently, permanent--extra-terratorial prison camp, it has recently acquired a Starbucks franchise and a miniature golf course. So far, the Starbucks has proven more popular than the mini-golf, but that's slated to change, according to this story:

"The new miniature golf course has not been much of a hit, probably because it is covered in brown grass and has no obstacles. But not for long, promised Craig Basel, who is in charge of recreation at the base. By summer, obstacles will include replicas of guard towers and banana rats, he said."

And to think that when we went mini-golfing on our family trips to Panama City Beach, Florida, we had to make do with having our shots blocked by windmills and orange-and-purple dinosaurs ... .
