The world's oldest person, a Dutch woman named Hendrikje van Andel-Schipper, turned 115 Wednesday. According to this story, she received greetings on the occasion from the Dutch royal family and the Ajax soccer club, which she has supported for the last 87 years.
A soccer club delegation paid a call on her at the home for the elderly where she currently resides. The last time she was visited by the team she complained that other residents of the home were "hicks who don't understand soccer."
Asked for her secret to long life, she said: "Breathing."
