iPod to Converge with Your Notebook?

Most talk about gadget convergence doesn't excite me. Most of the ideas seem pointless--for instance, the TV built into the door of a refrigerator. Here's a convergence I might go for, though: a in iPod/notebook computer combo, for which Apple has filed a patent, according to this web site.
